It's finally time again: the 2024 open wine cellars are open and hundreds of winegrowers across Switzerland are once again welcoming you to discover their wine region this spring. In April and May 2024, you will have the opportunity to experience the vineyards and their grape varieties up close and taste the wines in the wine-growing regions of Valais, Vaud, German-speaking Switzerland, Geneva, Ticino and Three Lakes.
The open wine cellars are not only a popular destination for wine lovers, they also offer the ideal excursion for families and tourists: whether on foot, by bike or by public transport, the wine producers are easy to reach. Enjoy a festive atmosphere, varied discovery tours of the producers' vineyards and learn more about Swiss wine at the same time.
On 27 and 28 April 2024 and 1 May 2024, over 210 winegrowers throughout German-speaking Switzerland will welcome you to get to know their wine region. Whether it's a tour of the wine cellars, a walk through the vines or enjoying specialities and wines from the region: German-speaking Switzerland leaves nothing to be desired with its diverse offerings.

On 3 and 4 May 2024, you will have the opportunity to get to know the wine region of Neuchâtel with 37 passionate winegrowers. The winegrowers will welcome you on Fridays from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm and on Saturdays from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Neuchâtel, the largest wine region of the Three Lakes, is renowned for its Pinot Noir and Chasselas wines, including the famous Œil-de-Perdrix rosé. The canton of Valais is one of the largest wine regions in Switzerland. The dry and sunny climate as well as the strong and warm winds favour the ripening of late-ripening grape varieties such as the red wines Cornalin, Humagne Rouge or the white wine Amigne. You can taste these and other grape varieties such as Petite Arvine at the open wine cellars in Valais. Visit the Valais winegrowers from 9 to 11 May 2024 from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm. The 230 wine cellars look forward to introducing you to their emblematic grape varieties.
The open wine cellars in the canton of Ticino welcome over 80 participating wine cellars. The winegrowers welcome you on two consecutive weekends, on 11 May 2024 in Sottoceneri and on 18 May 2024 in Sopraceneri. Ticino is the only wine-growing region on the southern side of the Alps and mainly produces red wines from the Merlot grape variety. Ticino is known for its elegant wines and prestigious cuvées.
