Other red grape varieties

Bondola
It is an ancient indigenous red grape variety from Ticino. The Bondola produces a table wine intended to be tasted on the spot and called Nostrano.

Cabernet Sauvignon,
The Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic international grape variety, which is cultivated in small quantities in the Geneva’s region, in the canons of Vaud and of Valais and in Ticino.

Diolinoir
The Diolinoir is a crossbreed created in 1970 at Pully (in the canton of Vaud). Grown on the well-exposed hillsides of the canton of Valais, it gives elegant, full-bodied wines with an intensive colour and good tannins.

Garanoir
Also a crossbreed created in 1970 at Pully (in the canton of Vaud), the Garanoir is a vine that ripens early and which enters favourably in the assemblages with the Gamay, the Gamaret and even the Pinot Noir.

Mondeuse
An ancient red grape variety, well-known in the neighbouring Savoie, the Mondeuse is a rarity that is found in some vineyards of the Chablais (Vaud).
