Neuchatel and three lakes region - Red
Wines
The Pinot Noir, one of the only red grape varieties allowed to be cultivated in the region, gives well-structured and highly-distinguished wines. After some years of ageing, these become stronger, more powerful and more complex. The Œil-de-Perdrix, whose colour reminds that of the partridge's eye (which gives it its name in French), is an aromatic and fruity rosé coming from the Pinot Noir grape. Although it was first created in the Neuchâtel’s area, it was not long before it was imitated by other Swiss wine-producing regions.
