CAVE DE LA COTE - UVAVINS

Founded in 1929 by a few winegrowers, Uvavins–Cave de la Côte now groups together more than 400 producers. The 1’800 or so plots, of which the harvest is cellared by Uvavins, are visited each year by experts and technicians. More than 800 vats with a content capacity ranging from 1’000 to 25’000 litres (200 to 5’500 gallons) allow the elaboration and wine maturation of 4 million litres (880’000 gallons) in optimized conditions. A large hall allows the storage of 2 millions bottles in constant conditions regarding the temperature and the hygrometry. The vineyards of the cooperative members of Uvavins–Cave de la Côte cover a surface of 415 hectares (1’037.5 acres). The cooperative produces more than 60 different wines, with all the different terms of origin of the region of “La Côte”, along the Lake of Geneva.
