Our company is nearly as old as the wine culture in Switzerland. The history of Testuz begins in 1538, when the Testuz family settled down in the Dézaley vineyard, where they started to cultivate grapes to make wine. Three centuries later, Louis Gerber-Testuz and his nephew Charles Testuz set up the first family wine-trade business.
Today, 60 hectares enable the company to produce a variety of wine of certified origin and quality, which represent very well the different appellations of the canton Vaud. In addition to the own local wines, Tetuz also offers a selection of Swiss and international wines.
Located in the middle of the scenic Dézaley region, between Lausanne and Vevey, the company Jean & Pierre Testuz SA is lead by Mr Tobias Mathier.
The production
The whole process of the wine production follows the concept of the integrated production, which means that nature and biodiversity are respected. The barrels made of oak ensure an optimal development of our “Grands Crus” and specialities. Inaugurated in 1990, our bottling station is equipped with modern and efficient machines. Mr. Beat Blatter is responsible for the vinification and the wine cellars.
The sales
The sales department is lead by Mr. Mathier and our sales director Mr. Alain Cuérel. It is composed by 17 sales representatives dispersed throughout Switzerland. 8 of them operate in the French speaking cantons and 9 in the German speaking regions.
The delivery
The company TGVins, owned by Testuz SA, guarantees the daily delivery of our wines in the whole country. 20 drivers, 11 lorries, 1 tank lorry and 8 delivery vehicles offer a service of high-grades quality and assure the delivery of any order in less than a week.
The administration
More than 10 people work in the office in Treytorrens under the leadership of Mr. Tobias Mathier (management), Lucien Grivel (buying department), Alain Cuérel (sales department) and Gerry Gass (finances). Our winebars in Treytorrens and Zurich allow our clients to taste our wines and to profit from qualified advices.
